Vintage Broncos may be all the rage right now, but it’s not the only body-on-frame classic we love. This K5-generation 1971 Chevy Blazer is the perfect alternative if you want to stand out, and it’s for sale right now on eBay Motors. It’s just had a full frame-off restoration, and comes powered by a 454 cubic-inch big block V8. You should buy it.
Welcome to You Must Buy, our daily look at the cars you really should be buying instead of that boring commuter sedan.
This Blazer was restored by a shop called Classic Ford Broncos in Columbus, Ohio, and comes with a host of upgrades to make it livable for daily-driving. Along with the bigger, fuel-injected engine, it’s equipped with a Vintage Air A/C system, new upholstery, and an upgraded stereo system with a modern Pioneer head unit. Power is sent to all four wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and shiftable transfer case.
From the outside, the car looks fantastic, with deep black paint and a perfectly matched set of chrome wheels. The chrome grille and bumpers look to be in great condition too, as does the roof panel. Underbody shots show a red-painted floorpan and no signs of rust. Inside, the dash and gauge clusters look to be in good, working condition. The two-spoke steering wheel and chrome glove box cover stand out nicely. The two back seats are finished in the same white upholstery as the front, flanked on either side by a set of subwoofers.
Of course, all of this restoration craftsmanship comes at a price. The seller has this Blazer listed on eBay right now with a Buy It Now price of $65,000 or best offer. That’s a lot of money, yes, but considering how much Bronco restorations go for, it seems pretty reasonable.
